American FootballNFL and College football are two of the most popular past times in Xbox Sports Games, especially in America. Madden comes out from EA Sports every year with updated graphics, rosters and even gameplay mechanics. NCAA football, also produced by EA Sports, has a regular yearly offering as well with all the expected updates. There are a few other titles, 2K Sports puts football titles out pretty often, and you can find other games like Backyard Football, NFL Blitz, NFL Head Coach which is also from EA Sports and Backbreaker Football. BaseballThe two primary franchises for baseball on the Xbox are MLB The Show from EA Sports and the MLB series from 2K Sports. These two games are released with new versions every year, to keep the team rosters updated and with other, usually minor, game updates. You can also find other titles not from the big two, in The Bigs, MLB Front Office Manager, Backyard Sports: Sandlot Sluggers and Little League World Series. You can also find MLB stickball on Xbox Live Arcade, which is a downloadable game available from the Xbox marketplace. Find all of our info for Xbox Baseball Games here. |

BasketballPro basketball is one of the top Xbox Sports Games in popularity. The 2K Sports puts out the excellent NBA 2K series, and EA Sports continues to crank out a new version of pro basketball every year, this year in the form of NBA Elite formerly called NBA Live. These are the two main contenders for professional hoops, and they also have their respective offerings for the college game. College hoops NCAA from 2K Sports and NCAA March Madness from EA can answer your fix for college b-ball. The genre is also rounded out by the likes of NBA Street Homecourt and NBA Ballers: Chosen One. Find all of our info for Xbox Basketball Games here. |

GolfGolf on the 360 has quite a few less options than the other sports categories. Year after year, EA Sports takes lead with Tiger Woods PGA Tour, with a new and updated game each year. I must admit that I'm disappointed that this year's release doesn't include the ability to take and make text messages with your friends while on and off the course, as well as other extra curricular activities. You know, for realism's sake! This year, EA finally has some competition from O Games in the form of John Daly's ProStroke Golf. Hopefully this will put the heat on EA to step up their game. HockeyEA Sports and 2K Sports are at again with yearly releases of their version of the greatest game on ice - Hockey. Simply and aptly titled NHL with the version following by EA, and NFL 2K with the year version following by 2K Sports. Historically these games have different feels, with fans on both sides. EA is often declared the winner of graphics and presentation while 2K is said to put out a more sound technical game. You should be the judge, as both games are great and both have their own strengths and weaknesses. Find all of our info for Xbox Hockey Games here. |

RacingFor those who expect to find the word "Motor" right before "sports," you should be very happy to own an Xbox 360 as motorsports is one of the best covered categories on the system. From simulation racers like Forza, Race Pro, F1 2010 and the regular NASCAR release to the more arcade-like titles such as Burnout, Blur, and the Need for Speed series there is no way a racing fan could be disappointed with all of the choices available. Also available is rally racing with Dirt, street racing with Midnight Club, MotoGP and Superbike for motorcycles, while motocross and even ATV racing are covered. Wrestling, MMA and UFCWrestling, MMA and UFC games are well represented sports games on the Xbox 360. The regular installs of WWE Smackdown vs. RAW, TNA Impact, Legends of Wrestlemania and WWE All Stars should scratch that WWE itch. UFC Undisputed's yearly releases with EA Sports MMA and Supremacy MMA round out a full offering for MMA fans. This relatively new genre has really become a hit as of late, no pun intended. It is interesting to watch and see who will retain the MMA gaming crown with these new releases. Find all of our info for Xbox Wrestling, MMA and UFC Games here. |
